Steampunk Shoot with Becky

My friend and alternative model, Rebecca Spotts, and I were thrilled to do this photoshoot after Becky's lapse from modeling for the last couple of years. She did her own hair and makeup and brought her own props, so much of the credit for this shoot goes to her. I picked this location after it piqued my curiosity, having driven past it a couple of times. It turned out to be surprisingly more visually diverse and beautiful than I could ever have surmised from the outside. There were not only dilapidated greenhouses, but a beautiful old barn with a partially caved in roof, and greenery springing out of the soggy wood floors. We were inspired by the richness of history apparent from the paintings on the exterior walls to the family photo album we found lying on the ground. People have lived there, and someone may still be living there. We were so lucky to have picked the day that we did, with the bright sunlight giving way to dark, ominous clouds that had the decency to withhold their rain until we were safely inside the barn, and cleared up promptly when we were about ready to go back outside.
